Earn Money Playing Games: Mistplay

How many apps have you seen claim that you can earn money whilst playing games?

How many adverts have you seen on the app stores, on facebook, online in general; where they show people reacting to winning thousands of dollars on a slot game and having it magically transferred into Paypal?

I have been looking into ways to earn money online at home and I have had success with Mistplay.

What is Mistplay?

Mistplay is an app you download onto your phone. Via the app; you download games that are featured on there and play them via the app. You have to reach certain milestones to earn 'units', which you use to redeem vouchers of your choice.

Where can I get it?

It is available in the Google play store. I have searched the apple store and it is not on there.

It is free to download.

Will it harm my phone?

I have had the app for 2 weeks and my phone is working completely fine. 

Samsung and McAfee have partnered up to provide security on Samsung devices, protecting against malware and suspicious activity (as long as you have given permission for it to do so). I have used the basic 'scan phone' features which scans all of the apps on the phone. My phone states  'no threats detected'.

The basic phone scan is free and should already be on your device. To scan your phone, open 'settings' then go to 'device care', then click on 'security'. If it says 'turn on' then it means you do not have this enabled. Simply press the button and then 'scan'

What kind of vouchers are available?

Amazon.co.uk gift card - You can use for in-app purchases, songs, movies and more! the code is sent to the email address you registered with.

Prepaid Mastercard UK - You can use for in-app purchases, songs, movies and more! the code is sent to the email address you registered with. You can alternatively get a physical prepaid mastercard sent to you but they will deduct £3 off your card as a handling fee.

Prepaid Virtual Visa - You can use for in-app purchases, songs, movies and more! the code is sent to the email address you registered with.

Google Play UK - You can use for in-app purchases, songs, movies and more! the code is sent to the email address you registered with.

iTunes UK - You can use for in-app purchases, songs, movies and more! the code is sent to the email address you registered with.

How does it work?

You download mistplay and put basic information in about yourself; such as your age, country you live in and a valid e-mail address (make sure the email entered is correct as your vouchers will be sent there!)

On the games section it will show different categories such as 'mistplay favourties', 'slots', 'simulation',

There is not exactly a wide choice of games; I personally download ones based their 'unit' and 'PXP' value rather than the genre of the game itself. You click on the game and download it via mistplay. The game will be available to open from your home screen but to ensure you get your points; you need to open up mistplay and then click on 'play' there. Mistplay will be open in the background and will track your progress.

'Coin Master' is a mistplay favourite and is currently giving x4 units. The longer you play a game, the more game experience points you get which increase your stage level. You earn units at each stage level increase.

You can also earn units by earning badges. For coin master; the badges you can get whilst playing are:

Recruit - play 20 minutes

Night Owl - Play 1 hour after 11pm

Social Gamer - Reach game level 5

Pro Gamer - Reach game level 15

You will also get a login bonus so make sure to open the app every day.

 

Are the rewards legit?

After playing for around 3 days, I had earned enough units to be able to cash out for a £5 amazon gift card. I thought I would try it as I buy a lot of random items on amazon and I wanted to test the waters. In the gift card description it mentioned being able to use for in app purchases, movies and music but did not clearly state if it can be used normally on Amazon UK.

 It took 2 days to process and the code was sent to my email address.

I went onto Amazon and clicked on redeem gift card. It added the funds straight away .

On the profile section on Mistplay, it gives a run down of all the units you have earned and from what games. In my history it shows when I ordered the gift card. You are able to check the status of it when it is awaiting approval, and the app will notify you when it has been approved. 

 

Achieving £5 within 3 days was easy but 200 units were awarded for signing up; and a lot of the games I played were the highest awarders for units and experience points. As time goes on; I don't think it will be so easy. At the moment it has taken me a week to get back up to 1774 units.

However, if you started playing now and play all the mistplay favourites, I think you could easily achieve enough units to cash out two lots of £10 amazon UK gift cards in time for christmas.
